wastegate and precontrol solenoid

well, i took off my UIM today and broke all the wastegate and precontrol solenoid nipples i have 2 questions. 1. do the vacuum hoses that connect into it have to be like a hard plastic? (how they were when i took it off) or can i use a more flexible rubber hose? 2. is there anywhere that i can get a new solenoid cheaper than mazda ($130 isnt it?)

you might want to check for sale section. Usually people that convert to single or non/seq they take those off.

Also, hoses shouldn't be hard as plastic. You should buy some silicone hoses and replace all vacuum hoses.

Try doing a search on Vacuum job or something similar for more info.

Usually if you post in the 3rd gen classifieds sections with

WTB: WG & PC Solenoids wanted. You will have a few people with them...Mostly those guys who are going single. Mine will be available in a couple weeks but doubt you will wait that long.

I had broke mine and ended up having to buy used ones from a forum member.
