washed and waxed fd

I've never posted a pic of my fd but since I just waxed it, I might as well. I "clay-barred", and used Meguairs deep system cleaner. Then their Showcar Glaze and topped it off with Meguiars Hi-tech yellow wax. I think this system works for this paint but not as well as when I used it on my Mustang (a darker red with metallic flake).

How much to get the rims chromed out? I thought of doing it but since the car came with curb rash on three of the four rims I ended up changing my mind.

Thanks for the compliments.

I don't think I'll be using a clay bar on this car for a while. When I was in Los Angeles I had to clay bar every six months and waxed about every other month. In South Carolina I found that there is not as much fallout and went a year with the paint being still being relatively smooth and clean (sans oxidized paint, more on this).

It does rain, however, a lot more and the sun beats down relentlessly in the south so I have to wax once a month. It took three months for the paint on the hood of my Mustang to show oxidation here. Additionally one of my headlights oxidized and turned yellow after only a year.

My theory is that since there is less smog and pollution out here, there is less of it to go in the paint. Conversely there is less smog to block UV radiation which is leading to damage to the paint and plastic lights.
