Waistegates?

Exactly what is the importance of an after market upgraded waistgate, why would I nned/want one? what is its function, i notice not too many people have them on here so im just curious... thanks guys

to help control boost, most people port the stock wastegate when they have problems controlling boost or deal with it using other methods

and when people switch to single turbo, the kit usually comes wtih an upgraded wastegate

wastegate is how you control boost on a turbo. You don't want your turbine to boost it's max ALL the time...or you'd end up rebuilding a lot of turbine's...AND engine's.
