Didn't Wael have a cpl guys lined up as "backup" buyers willing to fork the cash on the spot if the original buyer backed out??

I vaguely remember him saying something in that regard...and how he was gettin ansy waitin for the ebay winner to pay while another guy was willin to drive up and drop the $30K in CA$H...

Ha ha ha.
He said he was surfing the forum to see if there was another thread about his eBay auction again.

The highest bidder did not come through. He is apparently in the military stationed in the far east. I can't imagine how he could wire Wael the money for the car never having looked at it personally.

All I know is that eBay full or dreamers who make bids on items that they can not afford.

But if there was ever a 13b powered FD to dream about, i would think that one is it. That car is simply beautiful.

Your bank will poop at the milage. They don't really care about rebuilds and such. These things are definately not normal transportation. If you need a loan for it you really can't afford it, especially with some as low as $13K+. Just my $0.02.

Phil (Herblenny), if your serious about it I know where you can get it financed for 72 months, I think the rate is about 8% but for such an old vehicle thats a awsome finance package. Its really intended for expensive "exotic" vehicles that people cant afford finance for 24-36 months like you'd normally do for a 10 year old car.

You could finance it like that then after you sell your car you can move it over to the ELOC.

Let me know if you need the info.

Gorgeous car, and not that it really matters, but what kinda HP #'s is he putting down? It seems like he put gobs of money into making the car pristine, and not an 800HP beast, which is great to see at least some people still appreciate the beauty and not so much speed. And he has one of the nicest looking FD's around, he has a lift in an enormous garage, ridiculous amounts of money into the car... why is he selling it? Surely not for the money... I guess someone had to say at least one bad thing about the car, so I might as well be the ******* that does, lol. The chrome mirrors... I just don't like the look, but they are heated, so that attracts me to them, but I could never see myself shelling over whatever BMW(although it was probably some aftermarket company, but still) wanted for those things just for heat.

With how Wael does things, I'm sure they are OEM BMW parts. But I'm not a fan of their look either. I believe his reasoning for selling was that he already had an S2000 as well, and wanting to purchase a new sports car, so keeping the FD & S2000 wasn't worth it.

Since Wael has not chimed in...
Wael still has his S2000.
He is selling the RX7 because he got bit by the M5 bug.
He just wants a car that he doesn't have to "fiddle" with anymore. Something that he can buy and then drive without having to modify this, repair that or adjust the thingamajig. And the four doors and real back seats of the M5 suit his family oriented lifestyle much better.

Fat chance. Mildly moded 7s run for $20K. That, and the last time the ebay sale was over, I believe he had more than one person offering the $30K...

If it were me, I def. wouldn't sell it for $20K...
