Thumbs up w00 h00... got the motor out! *pics*

Well I have successfully done my frist motor pull ever
It wasn't a bad job actually but when it goes back in... it's going in w/ the tranny attached!
I'm getting a better idea of where my oil leaks are now.... seems like the PS is leaking a little (on that short bent peice of hose) and seems like the pan is leaking and then can't tell on some other spots

My wonderfully DIRTY engine bay....

da Motor...

Next I need to get that flywheel off! so I can put on my new flywheel and clutch!

cool, did you follow someone's write up about how to do it or did you just follow the factory manual? Any tips for someone that has never pulled an engine before?

Are you going to compliment those nice pics with a write-up?

I basily followed the factory manual and also printed out spyfish007's little writeup in the "Pull motor with tranny???" thread.
It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.... I will try and do a write up tonight tho.... depends on if I get the flywheel off or not . Couldn't get it off w/ my impact gun but ran into my neighbor who had a good breaker bar so I'll give that a shot.

Cool man....how much money do you think you save by pulling the motor out and installing it back yourself? Who's doing your rebuild? Howmuch are they charging you?

Actually... not doing a rebuild I'm doing hose job, oil pan reseal, clutch, flywheel, oil leaks and general cleaning.

I really don't have a clue what it would cost to have most of that done beacuse I didn't plan on paying it... I figured I would just do it myself. It did cost me alot in tools tho
