911GT2, yes it was wrecked...man I was on the phone with them and they said they'd give me a ride in it. Then they had to go off and wreck it a week before I come down. lol

I used to live in Florida, very close to Pettit. When I bought my first FD, I took the car there for them to check it out. I had no boost gauge, Cam took the time to hook up one of his boost gauges and check the car out for me. Really nice support.

Surprisingly, he spent about an hour going over the entire car and when I asked how much, he didnt want anything.

I can say when they do charge for their work, it is money well spent.

I wish they would get into drag racing again.

Anthony

Nice guys. I remember two years ago at 7stock ,Cam was giving rides in the "Bonz" I stayed around and helped push the GT car onto the lift truck they had borrowed. Something was wrong with the truck and it took about an hour!! I got to talk to a bunch of the guys and Cam , all seemed like great folks. I wish I had the cash for a "bonz" of my own!

Yea... the guys at pettit are really nice people. Once you become a loyal customer you might get a ride in the banzai. Candy there is Cam's gf for like a decade now so she is off limits. Shes an interesting conversation. Pettit does quality work... for a quality price. If you got the money to burn they are the place for you.

Hello Everyone! About a month ago I visited Pettit Racing to pickup a rebuild they had for me. I only stayed with them for 2 days, but could have stayed another week. I learned so many things while I was down there that have saved me alot of time on putting the engine back into the car. They were nice enough to check what I had brought down with me (UIM, LIM, wiring harness, solenoids, injectors, etc...) and helped me put absolutely everything I had onto the new rebuild. They let me loose on their parts cleaner for my UIM, LIM, TB, and other miscellaneous parts I had brought with me. I even helped out with a rebuild and reinstall they were doing. It was a very fun experience. I will say that the shop they have there is excellent and the way they maintain it is even better. I have many stories with me from this visit that I'll be glad to share with anyone who is interested, but I'll save that for now. This was by-far the best, and most worthwhile trip I have taken in quite some time. I will definately recommend Pettit Racing to anyone who has a 3rd generation RX-7. Don't get me wrong, I am not advertising for them at all, just recommending. The service and quality that goes along with their name is oustanding! I have some pictures I would like to post from my trip. Thank you for your time, I just thought I would share my wonderful experience!

when I walked in, I met Paul and he introduced me to Kandy and she showed me this...
Man dude, you sound so happy and satisified about this trip I could have sworn you got laid while you were down there too..

Great write up and pics of their shop, but how about some pics of your car once that new motor is installed?

Good job!

Yep, Cam and his shop are great.
I've never personally had my car serviced by him, but I always hear good stuff about him, and I've been at his shop a few times for parts.

I had the same exact experience when I lived in Miami and bought my FD (now I'm up in DC).

Same again here. Of course, it was a good move for him since I later spent a lot of money at the shop. But I still appreciated it.

Yep ... but I don't know about the drag racing. Good to see them road racing instead. I was looking forward to seeing Pettit compete with the FD in the National Grand Prix in Washington DC this summer. Too bad the friggin idiots on the DC sports commission cancelled the event.
