Is there a Vin number on the Block or head somewhere, I bought a JDM engine 13b twin turbo, but I am trying to find out what year it was from, I know how yo do that by the digits in the vin,

but where is it located at?????

 

The numbers on the engine are NOT the same as a VIN.

 

It is located on the block behind the alternator and vacuum chamber.

Like Mahjik said, it's not useful for much.
