Lumpy idle, peaking powerband/loss of lower torque

I really didn't notice much if any lowend torque loss. The cold start is fine, but it just wont run well at all when its cold, it needs to be about 65C+ and it runs great!

You need a nicely matched single turbo for that. Pertty much the same setup I want to run in a few years when I get back from over seas. But I'm still figureing out what turbo I want to go with...

Since I was going to Gotham for all work, I was going to go with the GR67, but I feel that it'd be too restrive up top. I'll have to call to see the specs on the turbo.

jeeez man, thats some fast *** revs there

im non seq too but no way does it hit 8k that fast, and in second too!!

i guess the half brid does help in this situation..anyway, get yourself on the dyno, maybe you dont need to rev that high..

I'm interested to hear some numbers too...

I imagine it just lit up the tires though from that first gear roll.

Doesn't that kind of port shorten the life of your motor? (no flames, i am clueless)

One way to look at it is.... a mid-pipe shortens the life of a rotary. What mod doesn't?

Building a half bridge motor isn't rocket science. If you break it, you replace a couple parts, do some port work, and throw it back together.

Ya some one posted what twins looked like with a few runs on a half-bridge. They were totaly trashed. The pics looked as if they could have just fallen off the engine. I don't remember if they were posted here or on the other forum.

Half-bridge ports are designed to run 9k+ rpms. A properly matched sigle that pushes near full boost(15-17psi) around 4.5k on a street port would probably work really well on the street. This is because the larger overlap forces the turbo to spool faster. So with the larger port the turbo could come on full by 3.5k-3.75k.

Man, I can't wait to build mine...
