venting PCV line to aptmosphere .. problems???

venting PCV line to aptmosphere .. problems???
is there any problems with venting PCV ( off the oil filler neck) line to atmosphere ? also removing the PCV ..
does the oil pan / engine , necessarily require the fumes to get vacuumed out

any input would be appreciated

why not get a catch can and call it a day, thats why i did, got about 1tsp of oil in about a month.

Catch can is the best idea! Venting will cause oil to vent under your car if thats were you run it! Capped off does not allow gasses to exit the crankcase and causes contamination!

Wow, the guy I talked to said it was fine and never mentioned any of that.
