Vacuum and emissions removed?

My buddy just bought a 13b from project D, it has all the emissions blocked off, and absolutely no vacuum lines, all have been block and removed...
Project D says that when you do that it will give you "50" horse power, anyone have that done or know anything about it?
from what I understand thos vacuum lines are there for a reason, and if you blocked them all you would be at a neutral kind of, and that would either really suck or just suck a little...
my other thought was that all those vacuum lines are there just to scare away mechanics so that only mazda will work on a rotary, just a big conspiracy....

I dunno, any help?
Thanks guys

Sounds like the sequential twin turbos have been changed to non-sequential. It will remove almost all the vacuum lines and have the twin turbos act like a single turbo.

As far as power, it's still the same turbos, so there really isn't a power gain, just a different power curve.

actually its an '88 13b turbo... i know they make like block off plates etc, but we just made our own, i just dont see how removing all vacuum lines could be beneficial unless they are unneccessary to begin with.... i dunno

I'm no mechanic, but I pretend to be... I assumed you were talking about a FD since this is the 3rd gen forum.

You'll probably get more info in the 2nd Gen forum. I believe the 2nd gen engines are also denoted by 13B, just not 13B-REW.
