Pettit racing uses Goodyear hose - call them up and ask them about it. Very nice people.

I had a done a silicone job and after a little while the tubing just does not have the durability for that heat environment, plus it is a relatively soft compound so it collapses under normal boost. I know a lot of people will swear by it, but I believe Cam at Pettit when he says these things - he races for real and has torn apart/built/modified these years for a LONG time.

my 2 cents.

I use a silicon type hose that is thicker and stiffer and will not collapse under boost and works great under heat, For the life of my I can't remember the name of it but I bought it from a shop called like Mc-something that sells tons of tubing for everything from the food industry up. Some guy did a great tube test a while back testing three, rubber, silicon, and viton. The viton did awesome but costs an arm and a leg.

Ditto. IMHO Pettit bases their judgement on older silicone vacuum line - the old stuff was VERY thin wall, tore easily, kinked easily, etc. I've used hose from High Temp Silicone and Hose Techniques - I've NEVER had a problem, holds up great over the years, fits great, and priced reasonably.

IMHO the Viton hose is a waste of money. I've yet to see *quality* silicone vacuum hose fail in real-world use. If you use the thin-wall cheap stuff (I have NO idea where people get that stuff, but my car came with it and I've worked on other cars with it) you will have problems.

I (and many others) swear by the Baker Precision stuff:
