I was trying to find some pictures of the brackets of the v-mount kits but i can't seem to find any, I found pictures of the v-mount installed on the car and by themselves but no bracket pictures, or if i found some, they were too small to see anyway

Can anyone point me in the right direction for some pictures?
any manufacturer, just wanna see the brackets.

i have a few pics i took from both sides of the undertray(after i cut it)

the alum. piece screwed to the tow hook is the bracket....don't have any better pics...sorry....
but then again thats why v-mounts cost what they do...cause they figured out away to make it work...
giving away the secret, would be cheating....

Here are the brackets that a friend of mine fabricated.

 

anyone got pics/digrams for the RADIATOR brackets for the vmount....... mounting the intercooler is easy.... its mounting the radiator the hard part.

Not the best pics but it will give you an idea or two…
I feel they really need to be isolated, look at the way the OEMs do it, or just use common sense.

I used 2 different ways to mount the lower section 1 while I did not have the radiator skid plate is attached to the sides of the radiator with the duct pics, and the second and current is a uncompleted pic before the tubing was welded in place to facilitate the stock peg mounting points.

Not the most presentable pics, but once I replaced most of it with molded carbon section it became quite respectable aesthetically

ah...gotcha. Lead time was 4-5 weeks (~$850) if I remember correctly...we just measured and sent him envelop dimensions of the largest size that we thought would fit (I'll see about digging that info for you), and where we wanted AN fittings and sizes...and said, "dual pass and shroud it with fans." Super quality!! The fans move serious air...I remember dropping dollar bills and having them stick to the radiator.

one thing I thought was a real trick install...I ran the turbo coolant line dump directly to the radiator; since it was right there and all.

Cool... what was the thickness core/endtanks they used? They have a 2.25 core/3" entank combo, or a 1.5"/2.25 endtank combo.

Yep. I pretty much got the same info from Ron Davis. Call and speak with Bill at 800.842.5166 x6. They have had a bunch of people calling about Rx7 radiators lately. I offered to send them dimensions and all that but they already have it.

The rad was $650 and the mounting plates to accomdate the stock fans was $150.

This is of course for use as a Vmount with the inlets/outlets positioned accordingly. I'll see if I can find my last drawings and upload.

I haven't had time to follow through and given the cost of the fan bracket I wondered if it was worth it to use the stock fans.

 

I'd go with the aftermarket fans like Dubulup, but i wouldn't have the first clue how to get them to run properly off the ECU with it's multi speed function.

 

^ they make a fan controller type of small black box that takes a temp signal and triggers the fan.

I've seen some for all types of prices. Some as low $60 but can't find it now. Do some research on the fans and fan controllers at http://www.alumrad.com/fans.htm then Google for other options with prices.

 

single speed operation is all you need. And very simple to have work off the stock ECU/PFC...I've already made the diagram for someone else's project.



node 29 is where the PFC will turn the fans on...and you can test your fans in the diag. box by jumping TFA and GND

ask questions if this doesn't make sense.
