Using stock location for temp gauge

I'm sorry if this has already been covered, but I couldn't find it using search.

Is it possible to replace the stock temp gauge with a better after market one using the stock location?

TIA
Jeff

I think I read somewhere how you can modify the stock gauge to be linear. I'll see if I can dig it up. Maybe search for linear temp gauge?

ahhh...it's here!
