Useful Sticky Post... come on guys!
I know I am fairly new to this forum, but I have been researching/oogling over FD's for over 4 years now. I am also a good contributer to my local site www.Importlounge.com, and have been for over 2 yrs. and 2000 posts.
Ok,so I was thinking that it would be a good idea for one of the moderators or board members (maybe myself) to start a good post with useful info to help keep our aging RX-7's alive for the best price possible.
ie. good place to get silicone hose
cheapest place for an AST
small guide to ecu upgrade options (ie. USDM remaps, 8-bit JDM remaps, and piggyback/standalone )
MBC install and tuning to eliminate boost spikes for the guys that bolt on a few things on stock ecu and almost blow their motor
McMaster Carr PN's for the DIY MBC's, TB o-rings, and possible Viton y-pipe o-rings
Cheapest place to get uim and lim and TB gaskets
Best place for coolant hoses ( stock and silicone )
Best place for Rear suspension bushings ( stock and aftermarket )
Best place for 2.75" silicone couplers ( ie. hose Techniques )
best place to get other various frequently replaced items that the newcomers can use to get their new FD project going smoothly!
I will try my best to get this post going if some of the known board members can provided positive answers to the GrassRoots seekers of making their stock FD's run more reliablity and quickly with the small funds that some of us have immediatly after purchasing our dream RX-7.
I am hoping that this post does not start some flame war, because I just intend it to help a lot of people like me that try to make my FD reliable for daily/auto-x/drag/mild track-day driving.
So help me help everyone else on this site please. I said please =)
I will even work on the Mcmaster Carr PN info and the MBC set-up, installation and tuning. I just need help with some of the other stuff.
I am subscribing to this topic so that I can continue to work on it and gather the resources... then I will probably just make one new topic with all the info, links, know-hows, and pictures after a good little while.
Thank you to any supporters ;-)

1. You have a good idea, this would be useful info.
2. Prices change, it might be tough to keep your list up-to-date.
3. It's very likely that people have already posted most of the answers you're looking for. You'll get much quicker results by searching than by waiting for people to respond to your questions.
This is how many of the links in the "FAQ for 3rd Gen" sticky were found; I bookmarked a bunch of helpful threads that I found while researching various systems of my RX-7, and eventually organized the list and showed it to Mahjik. He included it in the Newbies/Others please use search , and eventually renamed the thread to "FAQ for 3rd Gen."
The questions & answers were done by Degeesaman, and I'm guessing they took a bit more effort and time on his part.

I think this sounds like a good idea. Good thinkng Michael.
Though after a while people just start making general comments that just make the pages longer and make searching a pain in the ***. If this does get done, It would be nice to see it with just the info and not comments and constant questions and offtopic threads popping in.

Thanks Jason, and yeah, I just want to make a fairly small Topic with the main basics that someone can skim through quickly and find some of those little things that mean so much to making our cars run good and stay on the road for the minimal cost. I just like to see FD's that run good and stay reliable (as possible) I guess....
