upgradin my brakes

whats up ppl, the time has come for me to begin considering on upgrading the braking system of my R1 FD which is running pretty strong and fast. for safety reasons and for the sake of preventive maintenance im considering purchasing new
cross drilled / slotted rotors new brake pads and since im upgrading that is it required to upgrade the brake lines to the stainless steel ones as well? my current brake lines are still working great with no issues present. thanks for readin!

It's not required. For street driving, SS is not necessary.

WHy would you get "drilled and slotted" rotors? Have you read up on them?

Personally I'd purchase the 314mm and RS brake calipers for the front. Leave the rear as is if you plan on just driving around the streets.

Then again if your brakes are "running pretty strong" I wouldn't touch anything.

Their not needed... especially for street use.

brake lines are good, no leaks or anything which is what i meant by "running strong". but since this car is sitting a little over 400hp i considered the cross drilled/slotted rotor set to be more effective since they are good at reducing heat. i do enjoy boosting on straights and sometimes ill corner if the coast is clear since this backwater town dies after 10.

i also plan on taking this car to the track next summer which is why i even began to consider them in the first place, i want to make sure this car is well cared for and good to go when that time comes. thanks for the replies ppl

other than that, i drive this vehicle casually alot of the time since there are too many idiots on the road who dont even know how to put the correct turning signal for the direction they are turning. hell, everytime it rains down here somebody crashes.
