unusual idle- rich + thermal fan

Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone can help.... Engine and turbos just been rebuilt in my 2000 rx7. Now running really rich and on start up the car starts fine then all of a sudden the thermal/thermo fan starts up and the car starts blowing black smoke (rich). A few minutes latter all is fine then it does is all again.... Its weird and the idle goes smooth then goes rough.... standard ecu on board too .. Any thoughts would be appreciated
Regards

Ror

i have the same damn problem... minus the smoke part... but runs rich like hell in idle...
but when i drive it, its fine, i know becuase i took it to my workshop and they had it on the dyno, just normal driving up to 4k revs.. they said fuel mixture is spot on, but it idles rich... think a power fc would fix the problem?
let me know how your fix yours RorsRx7

rich mixture and thermal fan.

Will do... Mechanic, who is a rotary expert, is even struggling with this problem and if no error codes appear he is suggesting an apexi computer . A guy in sydney sells em programmed for $1800.00 australian. Will let you know if i get the problem fixed as the plugs keep fouling within a matter of days !!
