Unbiased review apex seal springs

Does anybody know or have an idea on how to find out how much more stiff the "racing" apex seal springs from RA are vs oem?
I just put together my engine and I did notice those springs are way stiffer than the low mileage oem springs(the oem have less than 5k miles on them).
Granted, I took it appart and rebuilt it a few times(learning curve, never a problem with any of the seals themseves though - mainly a failed oil pump and before that overheated). All withing a few hundred miles.
I noticed a big difference between the springs!! I was pushing in the conrner seal and after I let it go the spring shot it half way accross the kitchen(yes, I reassembled it in my kitchen! It snowed!!)
I know they are supposed to do that but I had a bitch of a time finding it!

They also pushed the rotor off the stationary gear to the point where I was wondering how much stiffer are these?????

I guess thats why most people say they are harsh on the housings, **** I can see why!!!!!

I've never seen a problem with oem apex seal springs, what's the point of the RA ones?

Well a racing spring like that produces higher pressure to ensure positive contact with the housings at extreme RPM.

It will wear the housing faster and wear the seal faster.

If that's what you're after, perfect.

Do you honestly think that the apex seal spring is what keeps the seal against the rotor housing at high rpm? that spring does nothing more than keep the seal seated at lower rpm, combustion pressures are what keep the seal seated
