Type-S Problem
I hate to add to the annoying list of bov questions, but I searched and couldn't find anything. I've had a GReddy Type- S bov on my car for a while now. I just put an intake in the other day and I'm trying to get a flange welded so I can relocate the bov. Two days ago I decided to tighten the spring a little bit to see if it'd prevent any leakage I wasn't able to hear or feel. The response felt a little better, but something didn't feel right. The next day, I loosened it up a bit and drove around. Still not right. Instead of that high pitched sound that comes along at the end of the boost relase (when the chamber closes), I was just getting this big sssshhhhh sound. I didn't notice how bad it was until I rolled my windows back up. Without the wind distracting me, I realized the the bov wasn't sealing all the way for some reason and was blowing my boost off at all levels of throttle. I took it off and took it apart today, checked everything, and screwed it all back together. I still can't figure out what is wrong with it, but everything is blocked off properly and there are no other boost leaks. This is deffinitely from the BOV. I couldn't tell if there was a hole in the vent diaphram or not, but I don't see why it'd be leaking there. Has anybody else had the same problem?
