Exclamation two problems; one urgent...

Alright so we all know how FD's are. They are sexy, fast and chick magnets but, they have more problems than a WoW nerd trying to socialize without a keyboard...

Anyway, my FD (1993) base model has just recently had two problems occur. The first one isn't too big but I can see it becoming a big problem in the future. The driver window is acting weird. In the morning when I first start the car the window rolls down just fine no problems, now after that the window starts to roll down very VERY slowly and sometimes won't roll down all the way or up after the bottom 50%. It sounds like window motor is working but seems like it may be getting stuck or needs to be greased? Anyone else ever have this problem? The other one works just fine, it may be the window motor going bad but to me it doesn't seem like it.

Now for the big problem. While the car is at idle and NOT moving the speedo is for some reason reading at about 10-15 mph all the time, when I rev the engine while not in gear the speedo will go up. You may not think this is a big problem BUT that actually adds miles to the odometer!!! So basically while idling in traffic or warming up the car in the morning and letting it cool down or simply when I am at a stop light, the car is adding up unnecessary miles to the odometer, which is...not good.

Does anyone have any solution to these problems mostly being the second one most importantly. It's not fun

Unplug the speedo behind the dash, since it is not reading correctly anyway. Then solve the problem by trying to figure out what is causing it -- test new speedo out, test your speedo in another FD etc.

as for the window.... sounds like a tired motor assembly, or it needs a damn good grease..... I haven't had a good look at an FD window winder assembly, but taking off the door panel and having a look for any obvious signs of problems would be good start
