If that's F, you need a thermostat. If C, a better oil cooler.

Don't know air temps, but my water temps stayed steady at 180 F just cruising around. During spirited driving the water temps climb to about 200-210 F. On some really hot days (>90F ambient) I see it climb a bit higher and I usually back off if it gets to 220F.

This is with a PWR aluminum radiator.

I took my recently rebuilt engine out for a trip to the shops, when travelling down the motorway (freeway) water temp was a constant 83 Degrees C, with intake temperatures of 39 Degrees C. Then got stuck in some major non-moving traffic for the next four miles, so switched on the airconditioning, an hour later of crawling traffic and my water temp was still at 83 Degrees C, with intake temperatures of 68 Degrees C. I was quite impressed considering I did start to worry abit when I saw the traffic que!

Mine's basically standard 94 with street port, koyo rad, ali ast, apexi airfilters, catback exhaust and powerFC.

(Note the above was with an unmapped motor @ around 800 miles of running in).

its going to vary car to car according to the radiator and intercooler setup and overall condition of the car's cooling system.
