twin or single turbo rx7 purchess

i am about to embark on buying my second rx7. my first being a S1. i am looking around at the batmans and have narrowed it down to two cars.

one being a 1993 S6. body has 130,000km on it.. it has had a rebuild 3000km ago. stage 2 porting and has been converted to a single turbo, with a blitz turbo kit and running it is a Microtech LTx10 computer. looks very nice with paint in good condition and the carbonfiber hood. painted yellow. this will cost me 14k

second car im looking at is a 1997 RS S7.has 98,000km on body and told the motor was rebuilt in japan before he brought it. this is in great condition inside and out. looks very nice as well. it is stock standard apart from the mags. i had a the owner get a compression test and it came back 110 front and 110 rear. i thought they are very good readings. black in colour. this one costing $15500

im thinking the first rx7 i mentioned as i like the thought of having a nice fresh engine in the car.and im lead to believe single turbo can produce more power than a TT. (not so concerned about the power anyway) can i have your opinions please. as im very close to a buy but am now so undecided what rx7 to buy as the 1997 is much newer and is the RS model which i believe is only bigger brakes and the 16bit ECU. note the 1993 is running of an aftermarket ECU. help me please

i'd go with the 7series. if its near stock then i'd trust that its been takin care of and hardly raced. plus there is no satisfaction in buying a previously moded car. keep in mind all i wrote was based on my opinion

I would say get the 97 if your lookin for "better" gas mileage between the two. If your not worried about that and want to have some fun and what I would assume to be a more simplified setup like mine, go with the Single turbo 93. Either way enjoy the car.

thanks guys i was thinking the newer stock 1997 would be a nice buy as what you both have said. but i'll be saving for a rebuild as well. who knows when it mite pop. was talking to a sales man who said some engins blow at 50k and some have gone to 200k out the factory. id rather go relibality over anything with this car. if i want to wreck something and rev the snot out of it i'll do it top my toyota.
