Turn Signal Problems

Searched and found nothing.

My left back turn signal is out (which is fine - this is replaceable), but simultaneously, my turn signal (in car and in front) has developed the "post wreck" increased frequency problem.

You know, where the signal flashes at like 3X the speed that it normally would. Nothing has happened to the car, and certainly nothing has been changed in the electrical system by me.

Anyone have this problem before. Is it fixable?

Fix the in bulb in the back. That will take care of it. The reason it blinks faster is that the power load of the bulbs set the frequency. Less power=higher frequency.

Question

Back to life instead of starting a new thread...

I don't have any burnt out signals, all my lights are working fine (at least the last time I checked they were). But today I noticed all of sudden that my turn signals are in ricer mode...they blink real fast. About 2.5 times a second. Any ideas? Cuz I dunno where to even begin. I haven't even driven the car for a while, so I haven't done anything to it lately...

Check the wiring to all the bulb connectors. Also, see if the bulb holders are secured in their place. Twist them around and see if any of them is loose. Check the bulbs themselves also. Any loose connection in any of these territories will yield "ricer mode" but still have all the lights turn on.

Jeremy...which bulbs are you talking about? Because this could prove to be a HUGE PITA...I have 99spec lights in the front, 99spec sidemarkers on the side, and 99spec lights (obviously w/ the turn signals) in the rear, plus the bulbs in the dash. Which ones are you talking about? (Please don't tell me all of them lol, but I have a feeling you're gonna tell me all the exterior ones...)
