turbojeff's battery track rocks! (6 pics)
I just got a chance to put it in today. This is the tray that was offered in the Group Buy. The link can be found at the top of this forum (the topic was created by Mahjik).
I'm really happy with the build quality of this piece. It fit perfect. I've worked with stainless steel a lot and I know that it is a pain in the *** to bend and cut.
Here are some before and after pics:
As you can see, a substantial amount of room is gained by switching to this setup. The battery is a Kirkland Signature Group 51R, available at Costco for $34.99. I wanted to get a yellow-top Optima, but by using the KS battery, I was able to do the tray + battery for about $100. The KS battery is 12 lbs lighter than the Die Hard that it replaced.

Haha Sonny great!! I'm using the same tray and the same battery. The tray is excellent. It'll outlast the car. And with the battery, you can't beat Costco's prices and warranties on their batteries. For $35 with 100 month warranty, there's no reason (for me, at least) to buy a yellow top.

Awesome craftmanship. Kinda looks like a tray thats attached to an Autopsy table used for holding embalming tools,..... metaphorically speaking , of course.

My battery tray fell apart after 1 week of extended use....JUST KIDDING. I've had my battery tray for a year now, and it really helps to clean up the engine bay. Spiffy!!!
