Turbo Timer + Fan Mod question...

With the fan mod, you need to flip the switch off 30 seconds after the car is turned off. Now, say if I had a turbo timer put in, how do I get the fan mod to work if I walk away from the car? The whole point of a turbo timer is to be able to have your car running and cooled down while you're away. I don't want to just leave the switch on and have the fans on all the time but I also would like to have the fans running after the engine is off.

Which leads to another question. What do most of you set your turbo timers for? How long? My alarm/auto start system comes with a built in timer and its set only to 2 mins. Is that too long?

Use a temperature sensing switch to control the cooling fans. This way, after the engine is off, the fans will continue to operate until the temp drops below the temp setting. Otherwise hook a relay to the turbo timer output and run the fans for as long as the timer is running.
Typical cool down time is 1 min for normal driving and 3 minutes after hard runs.

I want to be able to have the fans running 10 mins after it shuts down though. After the Turbo Timer shuts down. Thats why I've done the fan mod, but need some way to switch off the switch 30 secs after the engine shuts off.

As long as you turn your fans on 2mins prior to turning off your car, then the fans will stay on for 10mins. So yeah, before you shut off while driving, turn on the fans 2mins, yada yada let the t-timer idle the car (I have mine for 1:30mins) and then after the car shuts off the fans will stay on. Theres no power (or I think there shouldn't be) once the fans turn off by themselves, so its ok to have the switch on "on".
