so i recently put in a set of HID lights in my 93 FD , there 8000k and so i disconected the battery and took apart the lights and when i started the car after it was all said and done the HID's worked great but the turbo timer was dead , would not turn on , like it had been unplugged...

any ideas ? could it have shorted out , do i need ot reset it somehow or would it be ran off of a fuse ..

the wire seems to run toward the stereo deck , i have not had a good day to take it all apart yet

If you're still using the stock twins then count this as a blessing...

Yep, you don't need a turbotimer on watercooled turbo's. It just heatsoaks the engine for a few minutes.

Check where the timer was supplied power. Disconnecting the battery shouldn't have affected it unless a spike burned a fuse.

But they're right^. Except for some very liimited circumstances you really don't need a timer with the stock twins.
