Tuning my rx-7, please help
Ok, i just baught a rx-7 with a rebuilt engine with 3500 miles on it. It has a list of bolt on mods. It has an APEXI computer that need instaled and the FC commander i have stationed in the dash. It also has a venom fuel pump and it is running rich because it needs the APEXI computer instaled and some tuning. I know a few things about cars but never have worked on a rotary before. If anyone can help me about going about instaling my APEXI computer and getting it tuned i would greatly apricate it. I was told their VERY touchy so i wanted advice before i started the project.

Read as much as you can before tinkering with the computer, its best to leave it to someone that is experienced unless you are very familiar with the tendencies of this car.
By most accounts it is probable that the computer is not setup now unless it was a knowledgeable member here you purchased it from. Get ahold of a reputable person in your area before boosting the car at all.

If you know what mods you have then you should be able to down load a program for your setup. You'll need the data logit (I believe to do this). But you'll need to know/trust the person your getting the maps from as I understand there are some not so scrupulous people that have some bad maps available.

You can't tune it w/ the commander alone. You'll need the datalogit and your really better off going to a qualified tuner. Ray Wilson is doing my car as we speak.
