tt supra engine in an fd

Ok with all this talk of the v8 conversion I started wondering if a tt supra engine is possible. Thats a real nice engine capable of more hp than a 13b and it doesn't break either. Anyone know if it can fit. You wouldn't think a vette engine would fit but it does so maybe this engine could too. And please no talk of the cars soul and whatnot-both engines sound like my electric toothbrush running on a 500 shot of juice... no one would even know the difference.

If your engine sounds like an electric toothbrush on a 500 shot, then you need to get rid of that $50 muffler you put on your car :p

it would be better to just get a V8 if you can stand the sound. MKIV engines and there 6spd trannys are very hard to come by. Then after you get it you would have to make your own engine mounts, wiring since there are no kits out for that conversion. It'll probably cost over $15000. V8 conversion will cost about half that

At one point, there was a website for a shop that did this conversion...I'll look for the link and post it if I find it.

Ok, I just found the link...but it appears to be dead. It was:

http://www.sp-power.com/html/supra7.html

Anyone know where this has moved?

Wouldn't it be really hard and take up to much space? A V8 is only 4 cylinders long and is a tight squeeze, but a straight 6?? I bet it would really **** up the weight ratio.
