trying to match 3rd gen silverstone off the shelf
Wanted to know if anyone has had moderate success with blending or matching readily available department or auto store silver paint with the silverstone of the FD.
Tried with duplicolors radiant silver and their clear coat and it turned out bluer. The clear coat blended well and took out the 400 grit sanding.
Did a search some one said that Testors magnesium color was a close match. I know the duplicolor's are acrylic lacquers, I dont expect it to last forever, just hold off major paint job.

I believe the code is 3L-4G
I re-did my fenders behind the wheels (long-term rock damage) and it matches perfectly with their clear coat.
