I know about this car since it used to belong to Steven Strickler from PA before Fabian bought it.

The Sparcos are mounted on the Sparco brand adjustable aluminum brackets which are welded onto custom-made brackets. I do believe that the shoulder wing "hits" the door but it is a minimal clearance issue especially if you angle the seat slightly inboard.

congrats on the car....I've been wanting to get an r1/r2 modified for track use and not beat the **** out of my 93 that I've had for almost 10 years at the track. Sound like you've got a good car...what HP is itn making?

Thats not quite right. The car still had stock seats in it when I received it. I installed the sparcos by fabbing up some adapters to connect the stock sliders to the sparco side mount brackets. It's all bolted together to make it more adjustable, and reversible if someone desired.

Strickler never sent me many of the parts he promised would come with the car despite hounding him for six months.....plus there were a fair number of inconsistencies in what he claimed he had done to the car and what actually had been done. Please don't bring up his name, as it gives me a headache!

370 at 1 bar...conservatively tuned..meaning you COULD get more HP out of it, but that gives it a little more room since its a track car. If it were a street car, then you could tune it for more HP and still be considered safe, but since it a track car, you'd want the extra margin.

Damn, now I want another FD

Then he took the Sparcos out before he sold the car to you.

I think I related my bad experience with Strickler when you first got the car from him. He is a sleaze.

Fabian, glad you found someone that'll appreciate the car for what it was built to do. Go fast around a track!

Yeah, I couldn't ask for it to go to a better home....the only thing better would be if it were nearby so I could still play with it!
