A triavia question on Mazdaspeed wheels

For the FD MS-01 17 inch Mazdaspeed wheels, what was Mazda's recommended tire size. The wheels are 17 X 8.5 fronts + 40 offset and the rears are a massive 17 X 9.5 + 38 offset

Not sure what mazda recommends, but *I* would recommend 245/40 F and 275/40 R. I ran that setup for many years on 17x8.5 and 17x10 Fikses and it perfect for the streets and 400+ rwhp
