Just wondering i'm have never taken or mess with the tranny yet, but just wondering do RX-7 have transmission oil cooler like other cars? If so how come people dont really talk about upgrading them to make it cooler?

 

Nope, in stock form there is no cooler for the manual transmission. There is a cooler for the automatic.

 

if you have an automatic, then you have a cooler on the passanger side air duct. with a manual, you dont need that ****. just drop some neo oil and all is fine and dandy

 

Thank you guys for clearing it up for me. And i have a manual tranny so it's all good with the neo oil but can i find this oil at the local Auto Advance Parts at all?

 

Most shops like Auto Advance or NAPA will rarely carry peformance oils besides Mobile 1. Some NAPA's across the US will carry Royal Purple, but that's about it. You'll need to locate a performance shop in your area or order online.

 

IC IC thanks a lot and by the way i'm about to take the engine and tranny out any suggestion on what else i need to do to the tranny, it's still good, only have 35k miles on it.
