transmission noise

ok i have a 94 touring, well it all started after a few runs at the local track. now when crusing along i'll let off the gas and coast and then a hummmmmm sound comes from the tramsmission and then when i get back on the gas the sound goes away. when i coast for a while the sound gets lower in pitch the slower the car goes. does any one have a clue what the sound is and how to fix it? also when idoling i hear a gear noise from the transmission and when i tur on the ac it gets louder. any clue on that either? thanks guys.

It doesn't explain all your symptoms, but check your tranny fluid level. When I had my clutch changed, they first didn't put enough fluid in and I got weird whining noises. (Then they overfilled which made it hard to shift...) Anyway, maybe if you had a little leak in your tranny, the track time took enough out to cause it to start making noises.

But the AC is really odd. Maybe you have a bearing going out in one of your accessores?
