Transmission issues

Hey guys I know there are already alot of post about transmission but I looked through a ton an didn't find anything that was the same problem.
Okay first my gripe,
Intermittently while driving, with the clutch out I can hear metal on metal grinding, with the clutch in the sound goes away. As well as difficulty to enter gears occurs it feels like the clutch isn't completely disengaged or the gates aren't open all the way.
Reverse will some what randomly change from being completely locked out to easy to shift into. At times when it is locked out by pushing down on the gear stick before attempting to enter reverse will allow me to put it into gear, also when it is locked out if I can roll backwards that will unlock it as well.

My planned solution? transmission rebuild, I am currently thinking that my inner throw out bearing is either flat spotted or cracked(if its one of the stupid ones with the polymer housing) And possible the sincros are going bad.

I've already ordered a transmission rebuild kit with sincros, I just wanted to post here to see if you guys might have something I could have easily missed.

I would edit but that whole 30 minute limit thing, so

*Update I noticed that the grinding noise doesn't always go away when the clutch pedal is pushed to the floor it just gets very quiet.

Well if you're doing the full rebuild you'll have the transmission well covered. It's a big job: www.davidgeesaman.com

I would definitely start first with the pilot bearing though, as a seized pilot bearing will have all of your symptoms, particularly the feel of a partly-engaged clutch.

Changing the pilot bearing is easy with the right tool. It can be done in other ways but I'll bet if yours is roasted it will be much harder than normal. So I'd try to get my hands on the Mazda one because it works so well.

The transmission rebuild is going smoothly, removed an broken down in 2 days. Heres a picture of the reverse sincro, or as the previous owner though "6th gear"
