Transmission Clutch - Push, Pull

Hey Guys,

I would like to use a Push style clutch on my S6 Transmission, Originally comes with a Pull style.
Since I'll be switching the Bell housing to one that supports the Push style would there be a problem ?
The innards of both TII and S6 are pretty close as well as overall Gear ratios ..

I'd like some info that (After searching) I could not find anywhere, this question however is very popular on the Subaru Forums !

Thanks lads !

These clutches typically come with conversion kits. You'd be better off getting the kit instead of trying to force something to work

Are you using an FD box in something else or an earlier rx7?

You could run a concentric slave to convert to push, if you didn't want to use one of the usual pull>push conversion mechanisms, bonus they have better feel than a fork activated clutch. Depending on how handy you are and the equipment available, it can be pretty cheap to adapt one from a Saab with a bit of machining, otherwise one of the vendors on here was offering one a little while ago.

It's been brought to my attention that the TII transmission is the Push style that I need, The bell housing I'm after is made for that transmission.. Are the shafts the same size? As well as the spindle count? in that case It would work with the bellhousing for it right ?

If not I'll look into both the Slave and the Clutch kit! Though the kit sounds a bit on the pricier range, I just wanted to put a S5 TII clutch essentially on a S6 Box, since the S6 Is what I have..

Planning to use the FD Box with a Push style clutch with a Push style bell housing design.. If that makes sense.....
