transmission/clutch problem?

When stepping on the clutch, putting the car into 1st or reverse, the car will act like it's running on 1 rotor and it is impossible to get it out of gear unless I turn off the engine and start it again. Also, the clutch pedal engagement is very low and will not come up unless I pull it up with my foot. Is this a broken clutch fork or clutch switch? I've bled the damn thing like 3 times now. The setup is an act street strip clutch with 9.5 prolight flywheel. Both the engine and clutch have 1000 miles now. Thanks for the help.

Could also be a slave or master. Pull the inspection cover off the trannie and look while someone pushes the peddle.

I had similar prob, I would say its one of those two, check the master cylinder on the firewall on the inside of the car if its leaking you will be able to see it. Just get it re-built with new seals

Gene,

Look above your clutch pedal to see if you have fluid coming into your cabin. Also, check your brake fluid levels. If I remember correctly, the rear portion of the reservoir is what the clutch system uses, and mine was lower. I had to change the slave cylinder on mine...I think I ended up changing both the master and slave cylinders.
