transmission ?

I was cleaning oil pan area, to fix leak and I noticed a 1/8 inch hole at the clutch area of the housing that previous owner had plugged with gasket maker. Does anyone know what this was for, drain or something??

Thanks in advance
JG

Easy, I didnt say you , I said a previous owner , I just want to no what it was because the material used to plug it came out when I was cleaning the pan area. It looks like a vent hole or something.

Easy reddevil.... there was no association to you until you said something.

Grego, can you get a pic of this hole? If it's the one I'm thinking of it may have been plugged to stop a (very) slow leak (mine has one, it's annoying)..
