Transition problem (help please)

Ok.. yes i've searched but couldn't find anyone with this problem. Here it goes> right around 3K RPM when i should be making the transition, the car jumps and skips. Now it does this only when i'm accelerating pretty good. If i easy thru very slowly i get no problems.. it only occurs when there should have been a transition.
Anyone know what this is or how to fix it.. i'm thinking at worst i may need a new transition silinoid(?). Help please!
TIA

I think you are talking about the 3K hesitation. The only transition I am aware of is the turbo transition goint from single to twin, but that occurs at 4500 rpm. That maybe why you couldn't find anything on the search.

The two possible comon solutions are the additional grounds and upgraded ecu (Pettit, M2 etc.).

There are two know problems in the 3K area.

1)The infamous 3K hesitation that can be fixed by running an extra ground wire from the battery to the frame of the car. In addition there are 3 stock grounds that should be checked as well, a) between upper intake and firewall, b) main ground from battery to engine block, (between the sparkplugs and slightly below), c) exhaust flange between main cat and muffler the short braided wire goes to the chassis.

2) Your TPS may need some fine adjusting to beter match ECU maps to the engine.
