Tranny Oil Question

I am going to switch out the oil on my tranny with redline, when I replace it, and wanted to know what viscosity to use?

They have 2 different ones from what I can tell. MTL, and 75/90W.

So which one to use in my tranny, and while I am at it, can I use the same one in my diff?

Thanks

I am using MT-90 for the tranny. The 75-90 if for the differential. I believe the MTL has an added lubricant. Anyone more familiar with that?

The Redline MTL is too thin. Use the MT-90 which is their 75W90 GL-4 gear oil.

I actually prefer the Royal Purple products myself.

Oopps, forgot your second question...

Any of the 75/90w gear oils will be fine in the diff as well.

I have used Redline MTL (Manual Transmission Lubricant) for many years. I think it is one of the best products on the market.

The 75/90 is great for the rear end.

The manual does recommend using 75w90 or 80w90 for the tranny (and MTL is 70w80).

I suppose if you change out the fluid fairly often, MTL wouldn't be too much of a problem.

Where are you ordering the fluid from? Local shop? Anyone know of a good place to get some. I am needing some for 2 cars so if I can get a case I will go that route.
