Tranny/general questions...

Hey, the other day my FD started grinding when i tried to put it into fifth. I think its the fifth gear sync. I was wondering how much it'll generally cost to get my fith gear sync fixed, versus just getting a whole tranny rebuild. My car shifts kinda rough in general so i was thinking a rebuild wouldn't hurt. I'm gona be out of town for a couple of weeks(military) so i have time to just drop the car off and let any work that i needed done without hassleing me with not having a car. Also, i live in the orange county area, can anyone recomend a good mech shop that's somewhat close bye? Thanks a bunch gents.

Garfinkle gets $75 to put the sync ring in if you bring the trans to him . That includes flushing ,cleaning the insides out and cleaning the inside of the bell housing . I hope you can find someone in your area .
