Trailing Coil Bursts...
Trailing Coil Bursts...
As I was inspecting and putting things back on my car yesterday, I noticed something wierd on the T1 coil covered w/some piece of brocken plastic which made it suspicious, when I took a closer look, the coil actualy was cracked open
and the piece of plastic looking crap was actualy a the crap that came out of the coil.
A while ago I noticed a funny hasitation around 4-4.5 K RPM on slow acceleration, but if I floored it there would be no hasitation at all, I guess this coil explains it.
Check out the pic...

P.S. Thanks to Fritz Flynn, I just got one from him...

Usually a bad coil will act up at higher RPM's and under increased load (higher boost), so that may not have been the cause of your hesitation.

thats happened to me with both coils, it caused low-mid range rpm hesitation. the cause of it was the wiring harness. i had extented my wires to mount the coils on the fender and wires melted and touched. make sure you check all wiring and protect them from heat.
