Cool TPS Problem Solved

After recently replacing my popped motor with a Mazda Reman, I managed to clear most of the usual new-motor issues except for one. I continued to get error codes 12 & 18 (Check Engine Light was constantly on) and finally traced the problem down to my TPS (Throttle Position Sensor). Dave @ KD Rotary confirmed this and installed a new/used TPS sensor. Thanks for the hookup Dave! Anyway, he said that my car was the first he’d run into with this problem; I’d heard this was an unusual thing to fail from other folks as well. In fact Ray Crowe @ Malloy Mazda said that they don’t even stock the part since it seldom fails. Go figure… Good news is, my engine is out of “Safe-Mode”. Bad news, my primary turbo took a crap! Intend to stay with sequential turbos though. I’d like to hear from you if you’ve installed the new 99/2000 Mazda Turbos. I’m looking for feedback on your experiences and lessons learned if you care to share. Drop me an E-Mail at kraken@bellatlantic.net Thanks!
