tough fuel decision..help me out..

I have been doing extensive research and have searched in depth about modding our fuel system. I still can't make up my mind between going w/ R. C. engineering 1300's w/ my 550's or just go w/ 1600's, new rail, and fpr.
I am convinced that I will wan't no more power than 15 psi on the stockers (350 to 375rwhp). I know that the first set-up mentioned will be safe as to injector duty cycles, but know that that second set-up is more reliable. I am really torn on this matter and need some convincing as to which one. This is my last mod. needed to achieve 15psi safely before I get tuned. I am tired of driving the car around carefully due to an untuned PFC. Please state your insights to help me out one last time. Thanks Garret..
P.S. I put in my walbro pump and just clipped the wires and reconnected the pump. Should I go back in and go w/ heavier gauge wiring to help w/ voltage or not necessary. Thanks again Garret......

I was going through the same thoughts as you and i came to the conclusion of going with 1600s new rail, pump, and pressure regulater. The guys at the rx7store helped me out with that.

Im going through the same delema now because I need to upgrade also. What I heard there is a rougher transsention between the primarys and the secoundary fuel injectors with the 1600's. I dont know for sure but i think. But i called everyone and no one has the 1300's so you have to send them in. And since you have to take them out, you need to have your car sitting there for about a week. If you buy the rail+injectors+lines. You could take everything out and in in a day or two.

I have the RC 1300's right now, however am looking at moving to a new rail with 1600's, FPR, and eliminating the the FPD. I'd suggest you guys spend a little extra and do it right the first time.

I was planning a fuel system upgrade but I'm going to wait. After reading those threads on ralphs lower intake, I think that a simple 1 rail conversion is the way to go. Now I just need the money for that intake.

I put in some 1600's with my 550 primaries a few weeks back. I have not noticed any transition issues. I'm guessing that Steve tuned out any transition problems when he tuned my car.
