Tore out aftermarket alarm, No start, no power windows

I'm trying to help my friend get his FD running again. His aftermarket alarm kept disabling his ignition and starter so I decided to help him rip it out. At this time Power FC wasn't turning on. So I took it out and reconnected the two wires that were cut in the install, the ignition and starter wire.

Doing that fixed part of the problem. Now the power FC turns on. But the car still doesn't start. And I noticed that the power windows stopped working when the alarm was flipping out. Does the stock alarm have anything to do with power windows?

Clutch switch also looks fine, so my next thing to check will be the ignition switch. Do you guys have any other ideas of what to look at? Thanks!

The starter circuit is relatively simple, you just need to get a meter and a shop manual and work your way along the circuit. Somewhere it's broken, there's probably another hidden relay or starter disable that was part of that alarm.

Did you simply remove the alarm brain or the entire harness?

If you removed the brain only, use the alarms diagram and wire colors to trace down where the starter and power window circuits are broken.

If you removed the entire harness then you should have made note of the wires that were cut. Either way, tracking them down shouldn't be that hard.

Factory Service Manual with wiring diagram can be found here:

Okay after I noticed a lot of funky behavior when putting load on B2, I checked the B2 fuse and it was melted to hell. I didn't think to check the fuse since B2 was showing the full 12V until I put load on it. Sucks. Anyway, off to the parts store tomorrow. I'll report back if that fixes it
