Talking took my car to rotary performance

OH YEAH! I am freakin' stoked. Took my car to RP because of the boost problems I have been posting about. Well turns out that it may have been my boost gauge-they got 11-8-11. I did mention the flat spot after the transition and they are going to look into it, plus my car tops out at about 130, so there is something going on...compression checked out ok, another thing I was worried about. Anyway, since the boost and compression checked out that has cleared the way for a PFC!!! In an auto! I spoke with Chris and he is going to try and make it work. These guys are great-no bullshit. Very laid back, but upfront and confident. I feel totally at ease, which is unusual for me. I'm gonna go ahead and get the silicone vac hose too, which means I will have a hose techniques kit to sell. RP ROCKS!

I like RP too, but it sucks that you had to take it to them to find out you have a boost gauge problem. He'll get the PFC working too.

yeah I agree, I kept meaning to take the time to go through it myself, even bought the hose kit, a vac tester, and a shop manual. It just seemed a bit too much. my attention span is nil. I have about 10-15 unfinished projects at any given moment. I could just imagine the seven in pieces scattered everywhere. Better to leave it to the experts. Once I had a new 3000gt. I took off the stock airbox and was putting on a K&N filtercharger. Somehow I managed to slip and put a screwdriver through the mass airflow sensor. Pretty expensive mistake. Embarassing too.

yeah, about $480 bucks if I remember correctly, plus the humiliation of having to get it.

parts guy- "Are you sure that's what's wrong with the car? It's a brand new car"

me- "Yeah I'm sure."

parts guy- "That can't be it."

me- "Uh yeah that's it"

I'm not even gonna mention what the wife said. I still hear about it occasionally.:p
