Does anyone recommend a good aftermarket diff that's not too noisy and aggresive on the road when manouvering ? I went strip today did a burnout and tore off the main shaft in my diff which was sitting on the ground. I have a bridgeported hks to4r turbo and need something that can cope with the power.

A lot of members opt for a kaaz but complain that its noisey and clunky

mazdaspeed and cusco sell 2 way diffs, but probably cost exactly one kidney and a good arm.

All are clutch type diffs...

If you try the Cusco, then we can compare notes with my Kaaz.

My diff has got a lot less clunky at low speed, now that I have changed the diff oil over to Castrol Syntrax.

Hi Max I have a frined in Hatchwarraen who has a cusco diff on his 99 spec car. We swapped cars last year for around 2-3 weeks adn it took some getting used to. Once doing around 10-15 mph it was ok but at lower speeds it was very clunky and noisy, however it was very managable for street use.

I have the mazdaspeed diff. Super duper quiet.

 

Thanks for all replies I have been informed by my mechanic that I wouldbe better off with a clutch type rather than a torsen type are most aftermarket diffs clutch type unless otherwise specified ?

all are clutch types, i couldn't think of any other companys other than quaife that would make an aftermarket LSD with planet gears.
