you should try to get one that has a low mileage engine... and an automatic ruins the fun of the car, imo

Ditto...and ditto. I dont understand *why* they even make FDs in automatic. It's an oxymoron...a paradox I tell ya

Hmm...warning! Either someone's lyin, or if they're telling the truth, you might have more serious issues at hand...lol (i know that sounds sexist...but still..c'mon. guys struggle to maintain their FD as it is!)

IMO, mileage doesn't matter all that much. You need to inspect the car in person.

Someone can tear up a car in 10k miles or treat the car really good for 80k miles. In that case, I would take the one with the higher miles.

It all depends on how the car has been treated and taken care of.... Don't buy a car you can't go and check out in person.

That car has been up there for ages. There is probably a good reason as to why.

8 thousand dollars is a pretty damn good deal for a mint body. Its hard to find rx7s with a good body for a cheap price.

Not saying it isn't...but IS it a mint body? You really gotta know what you're doing to be able to check for any prior frame damage. just "looking it over" wont do the trick

a few real simple ways tho for us novices is to visually see if all the body panel corners/intersections line up perfectly. It's incredibly difficult (this is a major understatement) to realign panels perfectly after frame damage...

also, run your finger along the border of the body panels...the factory job is very smooth and rounded. you'll feel a very different consistency w/ replaced/fixed fenders/hoods/bumpers/body panels, irregardless of how good the body shop is...
