Tips on transmission jacks?

Hi all, I just joined the rx7club. I'm trying to get my 5-speed trans back into my 94 FD (replaced clutch) and the transmission jack I rented isn't doing the job. I searched the archives but haven't found any info on what kind of transmission jack works best. I'm using one I rented from Big 4 rents here in Bay Area, Ca. (actually I'm returning the @#$* thing, because it just won't work with a FD) The problem is mostly in that it is too wide and keeps hanging up on the body tunnel.

Anybody who's done this have tips on what kind of tranny jack works? I've got a mechanics floor jack, which I've used to replace other tranny's on different cars but it ain't working here either.

thanks for any advice

Maybe you can make some wood pieces to fit it better.

Thanks Reza,
Yeah, I may just have to build some kind of adaptor to make it work better. Found a different looking tranny jack at another rental place, I'll see if it does the trick first, keeping my fingers crossed.
