Ticking sound on acceleration
I was actually having a very similar issue. I could hear a ticking/vibration come on only under hard acceleration. The vibration appeared to becoming from the tunnel on the passenger side. I jacked up the car and started checking a number of things: pillowball bushings, heat shields, exhaust bolts. As it turns out it was a small bracket near the down-pipe and mid-pipe connection. A single mount bolt on the bracket was making contact with the mid-pipe, which transmitted vibration into the tunnel. Removed the bolt/bracket and the vibration was gone.
Might be worth taking a look.

Thanks C's.
I don't have that bracket. The sound I'm referring to is definitely a ticking not vibration.
Got to finish up some work this eve and take the car on a quick run in an hour or so.

Alright. Just finished my test run.
The guys that suspected the Boost Control solenoid were correct!
I wish I had posted a few weeks ago. Would have saved me lotsa time. I have not turned the boost controller off in months.
Thanks fellas!
