Throttle Sticking
I just noticed this last night. After driving my car around for a couple hours, stopping here and there, I noticed that sometimes when I shift to neutral to stop my RPM's don't go down. They would stay up at 1500 to about 2200. If I tapped the gas quickly they would then go down. I'm thinking the throttle linkage just needs a little WD-40, but I'm usually wrong. Does anyone have a similar experience, and/or remedy?

You might want to check for proper cold idle cam settings. I found mine off so far that when it was cooler outside it wouldn't always completely release, and like you I could tap the gas and ususally get it to drop back down.
The screw I'm talking about is the one the pushes on the waxrod and controls the postion of the fast idle cam with respect to temperature. Page F-79 in the 93 workshop manual shows pictures and adjustments.

Also check the throttle dashpot. It's on the front of the TB and has a white plunger coming out of it. It's job is to slow the closing of the throttle plates when you let off of the accelerator so they don't suddenly slam shut. It may be sticking, in the same area of the FSM that FDJunkie pointed out there is a better description and testing procedures for it.
