Hello,
I bought a tps sensor which is supposed to be a Mazda remake that has two connectors. I've tried to install it but it hits the coilpack. Am i doing something wrong? It show pictures and say that it should be pointing towards the motor, the opposite of oem. I have a 93 and I'll attach pictures below. If anyone can point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it.
At first i tried to install with the throttle body uninstalled as the kit had me a gasket with it but then I couldn't get the thottle body on because of the interface. It would smack the boot and i couldn't put it an any other orientation because the instructions said to clock it in that orientation. Tried doing it with the throttle body installed and the sensor couldn't be clocked correctly.
I could try installling with the manifold off as the kit provided a gasket but i dont know what difference that would really make as i wouldn't be able to dial the sensor into spec as it would be maxed out pointed up to avoid the coil pack.
I see.... I bet that kit was intended for the later version where the coils sit further back and at an angle. I don't think there is anything you can do about it. Experiment with having it face upward or backwards or some other orientation and see if you can make it work. Try moving that adapter block around too. The easiest solution of course is the "move" the coils but that is a worm can for sure
Hello, I have just bought that kit due to my oem tps going out. I’m running a stock ecu, are you as well? I just got a rebuild and I don’t want to just splice my new harness. Any problems to know about before I install? I see your having some clearance issues?
